SUMMARY OF CRASH:
On 01/30/2014 at approximately 0741 hrs, Royalton police responded to South Windsor Street near the South Royalton School for a two-vehicle crash.

Investigation determined Cora Honigford, 15, was driving a 2005 Ford pickup truck with a learner's permit with her father, Tom Honigford, northbound on South Windsor Street and attempted to turn into the school parking lot. Cora Honigford took the right-hand turn too wide, and collided with a 2004 Dodge pickup truck driven by Kevin Menard, 41, of Sharon. Honigford's truck was totaled from front end damage while Menard's vehicle sustained minor front end damage. Cora Honigford's driver inexperience was the main factor in the collision.

SUMMARY OF CRASH:
On Jan. 27, 2014 at approximately 1205 hours, officers from the Royalton Police Department responded to VT Route 14 just north of Happy Hollow Road for a motor vehicle rollover.

Jennie Brown, 43, of Bethel was traveling north on VT Route 14 when she lost control of her 2007 Pontiac G5. Brown's vehicle left the roadway and rolled, landing on it's roof. Brown, who was wearing her seatbelt at the time, experienced minor lacerations to her hand. She was evaluated on scene by South Royalton Rescue.

Snow covered roads and speed appear to be factors in the crash.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On Jan. 17, 2014 at approximately 2133 hours, Royalton Police stopped a vehicle for a minor motor vehicle violation on VT Route 110 in South Royalton. After speaking with the operator, Jason Brickner, 38, of Tunbridge, officers detected signs of intoxication.

Brickner failed roadside sobriety exercises and was subsequently arrested for DUI. He was later released with a citation to appear in Windsor Criminal Division on January 28, 2014 at 0800 AM to answer to the charge of DUI.

SUMMARY OF CRASH: On Sat., Jan 11, 2014 at approx. 1527 hours, officers from the Royalton Police Department responded to Quimby Mountain Road in Sharon for a report of a motor vehicle crash.

After investigation, police determined that Jason Stoudt, 40, of Woodstock New York, was traveling west on Quimby Mountain Road when he lost control of his 2006 GMC Sierra pickup truck due to the icy road conditions. Stoudt slid off the roadway, striking a concrete post causing substantial damage to the driver's side and front end of the pickup truck. The roadway was shut down until the truck was removed by a wrecker.

SUMMARY OF CRASH: On Thurs., Jan 9, 2014 at approximately 1532 hours, officers from the Royalton Police Department responded to VT Route 14 in front of Welch's True Value for a reported two-car motor vehicle crash.

Investigation revealed Corey Morrill, 32, of South Royalton was traveling south on Route 14 in the area of Welch's True Value when he collided with the vehicle in front of him, a 2013 Ford Fusion driven by Jeremy Beaucage, 34, of Tunbridge. Beaucage had stopped his vehicle, yielding to on-coming traffic before turning into the hardware store parking lot.

Morrill's vehicle sustained heavy front-end damage with airbag deployment and was towed from the scene. Beaucage's vehicle was operable with minor damage to the front end.
